Artie Lange quit the Howard Stern Show after pre-show argument between him and his assistant, Teddy turned into an on-air scuffle.
Artie Lange had some issues regarding money and travel accommodations that Teddy had made for him. After the pre-show argument, Howard Stern invited teddy on the show to discuss the details. Apparently Artie Lange was none to happy with it and physically assaulted Teddy, staff members of the Howard Stern Show broke up the scuffle.
This is not the first scuffle for Artie Lange, and he could not promise Howard Stern that it would never happen again. Stern did not want Lange around with the potential of another physical outburst, Artie Lange offered his resignation, Stern accepted.
Artie Lange has been member of the Howard Stern Show since October 2001.
