Assisting The Blind With Currency Values

There is a move afoot, to change the U. S. currency, so that
it is much easier for the blind, to know what denomination
of currency, they have in their hand. It has been suggested
that, some type of raising, be put on the bills, but that would probably wear off with use, after a period of time. This is being talked about, at the moment, there are many hurdles, before this will be reality, if it happens. Some changes would have to be made, the adaptibilty of dollar change machines, and other probably minor changes. There is also the possibility, that the dollar will become instead, a common coin. It will probably be quite a while, before any of these things take place, if at all. Interestingly enough, not all blind people want the change to go forward, there are those organizations, at least one, which represents the blind, which would prefer, that the currency remain as it is.
