Asthma Management

There's a lot you can do on your own to control your asthma symptoms. Much of asthma management is a matter of simple lifestyle modification.
1)Avoid tobacco: Tobacco smoke must be avoided.
2)Healthy diet: Eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle is as important for people with asthma as it is for everybody else. If you're overweight, losing a few pounds can also help.
3)Exercise: If sports people use inhaler before starting the exercise, attacks can be avoided. Exercise can help strengthen lung functioning.
4)Learn to manage daily activities: Meeting the challenges of a chronic illness can be tiring. Avoid doing too much or too little help control the asthma.
5)Slow down: Use meditation to relax because stress and anxiety can often trigger an asthma attack. Yoga asanas like pranayam are very useful
Keep your home free from dust, pollen, air freshner
Wear a scarf over your nose and mouth if you have to go out in cold air
Treat cold and flu in the early stages
Drink 8 glasses of water daily and eat dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed.
