Astronauts Remember Apollo 11 Launch -- 40 Years Ago Today
posted July 16, 2009 - 10:53amOddly enough, I don't have any memories of this historic event, despite the fact that I was almost seven years old at the time.
On July 16th, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins blasted into space as the Apollo 11 mission began. Four days later, Armstrong would become the first man to walk on the moon.
