Chapter 3
Pre-Tribulation
Media-Persia and Greece

Daniel chapter 11 is the most detailed of all the visions, so it will be useful as a chronological base, as we thread to all the other passages and visions. All the events in this chapter happen before the tribulation ever begins.

Da 11:2 †Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece.

At some point in time, whether it has already begun or will begin in the future, there will be three more kings that arise in Persia and right after them a fourth king of Persia will arise. The fourth king of Persia is also known as the king of the South. Why I say that the king of the South is the king of Persia and not the kings of Media-Persia throughout the rest of the book, is that Scripture starts talking about three more kings will arise in Persia and not from Media. Media and Persia in today’s times is Iran, Media is the northern part of Iran and Persia is the southern part of Iran.
