Now there are some interesting passages here on the holy covenant. Now in Daniel 9:27 it says that the antichrist will confirm a covenant with many for one seven. Now my question is; will they sign a new covenant for one seven, or will they confirm an existing covenant for one seven. There is a difference. In signing a covenant with many for one seven, they come up with a covenant and many people sign it. It is new, and becomes policy. Or will the antichrist confirms a covenant with many for one seven, in which there was already an existing covenant and many people get together and re-ratify it for another period of time. This will be important, at that time, to those who are watching these events, because they will need to know when the seven year time frame begins and who the antichrist actually is.

In Daniel 11:22-23 we have the antichrist coming to power and a prince of the covenant being destroyed. In the passage of Daniel 11:22 it seems to be a strange place to state ‘the covenant” Stating that it is the covenant seems to me to mean that it the most important covenant at the time.

Da 11:22 Then an overwhelming army will be swept away before him; both it and a prince of the covenant will be destroyed.
a 11:23 After coming to an agreement with him, he will act deceitfully, and with only a few people he will rise to power.

It seems to be way to near a time in-between the death of the prince of the covenant and the rise to power of the antichrist. So, the initial covenant may in actuality be a covenant that is signed at the fall of the king of Greece amongst many, and the overwhelming army and the prince of the covenant, that is swept away, may be a country that attacks another country and fails, and their army and a prince of the covenant are destroyed. So this covenant is signed and then later confirmed by the antichrist. Then after this covenant is confirmed, the antichrist attacks the Persians, and then later comes to an agreement with the Persians. But, the antichrists heart is set against the holy covenant in Daniel 11:28, and takes action against it. What he does I don’t know, but scripture says that he does it after he returns to his own county. So, whatever he does, he leaves his country to do it, and then returns. He may attack a country near by.

In Revelation 6:8 Scripture calls the antichrist death and names the false prophet Hades and opens up some very interesting passages in the Old Testament.

Isa 28:14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem.
Isa 28:15 You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death, with the grave we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our biding place

Isa 28:17b I will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place.
Isa 28:18 Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand. When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.
isa28:19 As often as it comes it will carry you away; morning after morning, by day and by night, it will sweep through.”
Isa 28:22 Now stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier; the Lord, the LORD Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land.

This gives reference to the Israelite government confirming the seven year covenant with the antichrist in the last days. Israel will have been previously conquered by Persia and Greece. And at the fall of Greece and the rising of the four horns, Israel signs the covenant. And then here comes the mighty king of Assyria, he confirms the covenant with many, but the antichrist is deceitful and vile and will turn against the holy covenant and attack and conquer Israel in a day.

Jer 9:21 Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.
Jer 9:22 Say, “This is what the LORD declares: “‘The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.’

Hos 13:12 The guilt of Ephraim is stored up, his sins are kept on record.
Hos l3:13 Pains as of a woman in childbirth come to him, but he is a child without wisdom; when the time arrives, he does not come to the opening of the womb.
Hos 13:14 “I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem then from death. Where, 0 death, are your plagues? Where, 0 grave, is your destruction? “I will have no compassion,
Hos 13:15 even though he thrives among his brothers. An east wind from the LORD will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up. His storehouse will be plundered of all its treasures.
Hos 13:16 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.”

What a horrible destruction the antichrist will cause on Ephraim.

Hab 2:8b For you have shed man’s blood; you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

At this point I would like to interject a passage from Isaiah.

Isa 5:19 to those who say, “Let God hurry, let him hasten his work so we may see it. Let it approach, let the plan of the Holy One of Israel come, so we may know it.”
Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
