Attention Deficit Disorder in Adults
posted November 5, 2009 - 11:19amWhen I was a child I was easily distracted by everything. My parents would never have thought to get me tested for Attention Deficit Disorder, because they didn't know what that was back then.
Today, after having read numerous articles and a book (Driven to Distraction: Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder from Childhood through Adulthood) about the disorder, I am convinced that I have ADD. I can see it in some of my children and grandchildren too.
ADD is a frustrating disorder, but it can also be comical, as I relate in this blog.
(By the way, I didn't have a clue when I wrote this blog that in less than two months I would be diagnosed with breast cancer – just what I needed – more distraction. And yes, I am taking the humorous approach to my diagnosis.)
