U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey collapsed Thursday night while making a speech to the Federalist Society in Washington, D.C. Witnesses say that Mukasey, 67, began slurring his speech during the talk and then his body became rigid. He was helped to the floor and medical attention was summoned.

As of midnight Michael Mukasey is at the hospital and is said to be conscious and alert.
