Audacity-Free Sound Recorder Software

Audacity is freeware, open source audio recording and editing program. You can record sounds, play, as well as edit them. You can also convert them into different file formats such asMP3 and WAV formats. The Audacity team has posted on their home page the latest release of Audacity 1.3.9 (Beta). The free software works for Microsoft Windows, Mac OSX, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems.
