Australia's "number one cowboy" Greg Meech killed at rodeo

Australia's "number one cowboy" Greg Meech, who was killed at an Ipswich Brothers Leagues Club annual rodeo on Saturday. Mr. Meech was 33-year-old and left behind a common law wife and two young children. He was killed when he fell from the bull Yella Terra and landed on his back and one of the bull's hind legs stomped on his chest.

Mr Meech was wearing a helmet and a protective vest actually managed to stand up before collapsing at the side of the ring. He was taken to a local hospital and doctors were unable to save him.
