Authorities find EMILY SANDER outside El Dorado

The investigation that stretched from Kansas into North Texas involving a missing 18-year-old Kansas student appeared to take a sad turn Thursday.

Six days after Emily Sander disappeared after leaving a bar near El Dorado, Kan., police said they believed a body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado was hers.

Investigators said the preliminary physical description seemed to match, and they did not elaborate on how the body was found or on its condition. They were looking into the cause of death, and are requesting an autopsy.
