Free Browser Based Games

I am a frequent user of the game Runescape, although there is a free limited membership option, I have paid to be a member 3 times.
The only problem, I don't have much time to play this game anymore, I was constantly clicking here and there just trying to grow my player level. I often spent hours in the game, now that my schedule has become really busy I don't get to play as much.

So I searched the internet for a suitable alternative. I came across a few very interesting game websites called Browser Based Games or often known as Real-Time Online Simulation Games.

These are games, much similar to simulation games like Civilization, Tropico, Command and Conquer etc. The only difference, is that they are Browser time based and have no 3D Graphics. Now don't get put off yet, just keep reading...

If you were to build, let's say a Warehouse to hold your resources, it may take 20 mins to build. This is perfect for me, as I can just click a button, go away, come back and see my building has completed. All without being there. After awhile, as your building levels increase, it takes a little bit longer for them to complete.

These games are also Multiplayer, so you can make or join a clan. You can also attack other players and steal their resources. Very cool.

And best of all, these games are all free. Don't we just love the word free?

Gameforge actually have quite a few good browser based games.

Here is a list of them for you to check out. I haven't signed up to all of them yet, but I have checked out Gladiatus, O'Game and WildGuns. They are all really good.
