Bachelor Choice Mary Delgado Arrested for Assault

Mary Delgado, a former contestant on the Bachelor, was arrested on Wednesday for assault. Delgado was arrested for assaulting her fiance Byron Velvick. Velvick proposed to Delgado at the end of the sixth season of the Bachelor.

According to reports, Delgado was drunk when she was brought into the Pinella County jail where she spent Wednesday night before being released the next day.

Velvick and Delgado just recently stated on an ABC special that they planned to tie the knot next November. This was, of course, prior to the alleged assault. The couple has been engaged for three years, since the end of their Bachelor show.
