Bear Stearns Reports Huge Loss; No Bonuses for Exec. Committee

According to the Wall Street Journal and other sources, Bear Stearns (ticker symbol: BSC) reported a fourth-quarter loss of $6.90 a share and took nearly than $2 billion in write-downs related to bad mortgages.

Bear Stearns has said the members of its executive committee will not be getting bonuses for 2007.
