A beginner writer sharing her start.

A beginner writer sharing her start.

As a person that has always enjoyed reading, I have recently began trying my hand at writing. There are a lot of stories in my head that I have never been able to get onto paper. I take out paper and pen to write, and just stare at that blank sheet. How do you get what is in your head onto that paper?

I know that writers call that writers block. Well, what do you call it when you are just starting to try to write? I have lovingly or not called it starters block. Although I have read hundreds if not thousands of books over the years, I have no idea where to begin writing. I start by trying to put a few items on the paper. It may just be what is the story going to be about. Is it about dogs? Or maybe it is to be about children. It could be about anything. There are so many things in this world that can be written about.
