watch the opening ceremony in India

Yes, one can watch the events on Youtube in India too, but, I think they are only showing clips and not the actual live coverage. However, one can watch the event live on television in India. Olympics on YouTube

Just checked into that, and yes, NBC does offer live online content (not sure how much... we'll see). Is India one of the countries that gets the YouTube feed? There must be some way for Indians to see the Olympics... isn't it on a cable or satellite channel there?

Olympic Coverage in US

But, idlewild, the NBC is supposed to be giving live online coverage to Olympic games Only to the US and UK. I wonder where we Indians will be able to see it? But, again, they are forcing people to view the games only on Windows Vista. YouTube Olympics

I was excited when I read about this the other day, then I saw that it's not available in the U.S. It's great for the places that DO get it, because those people probably have few other options to see the Games.
