Benefits of eating Chinese food

Eating Chinese food is always associated with eating a healthy and well-balanced food. They usually emphasize on rice, noodles and vegetables. Although meat is also used in Chinese food, it is always in moderation to avoid high levels of animal fat and cholesterol. What is special about their cuisine is that they cook food with the intention of increasing health benefits like longetivity and having healing power and medicinal value.

Here are just examples different foods Chinese use to treat various illnesses:

Sea cucumber. This food is thought to contatin minerals that help build healthy joints, as well as improving blood circulation disorders and lowering blood pressures. Remember that dried sea cucumber must be soaked before use. This works well in soups. It is usually combined with bamboo shoots, mushrooms, chicken broth, and various seasonings.

Chinese black mushrooms. This food help lowers blood pressure, used in soups stir-fries and braised dishes. You can easily find this ingredient in Chinese grocery stores.

Dried Gecko. This food is used to treat everything from coughts and kidney infections to asthma. Usual preparion for this is to cut it up and heated in rice wine.

Ginger. This food has long been used as a digestive aid. Aside for its distinct flavor and ability to diffuse strong odors, it has many health uses like getting rid of air in the body, treating stomach acidity and motion sickness. After giving birth in China they customarily drink mixture of ginger cooked in wine and sesame oil shortly after giving birth.

Tangerine peel (dried). Not all Chinese ingredients are expensive. You can prepare this at the comfort of our home. Just leave the peel of tangerine to dry and then store in an airtight container. Tangerine peel is used in many Chinese dishes. It is thought to improve digestion.

These are just examples of Chinese food that is beneficial to our health. Imagine the benefits if you will add Chinese food in your diet. You can prepare food that can actually cure your illness and improve your health.
