a berry with a healthy punch
posted October 28, 2009 - 9:45amNever heard of acerola? That's no surprise. In America, this small, red, cherrylike fruit and the foods made from it are hard to find. It's far more commonly available in the Caribbean and South America.
Although the acerola is a small fruit, it packs a huge disease-fighting punch. One little acerola fruit, measuring an inch or less across, contains a whopping 81 milligrams of vitamin C!
