Difficulty relaxing? Try these deeply relaxing practices to relieve your stress and make it a thing of the past! All these strategies are simple, easy-to-use and amazingly effective. Start today!
Lifestyle changes are the key. Most clients I work with as a Personal Coach who come
to me complaining they are stressed and can't stand their lives, have forgotten that they are the ones who said their life up that way in the first place (and keep it that way)! The fact he can change all most anything about your life is a huge revelation to most of my clients. And even then, they almost immediately come up with "reasons" (excuses) why they can't change certain things. We take some time and as we explore it, they come to say to their own satisfaction that this is not in fact true. They feel empowered knowing that their life is a choice and not a trap. What is it in your life that you need to change? Maybe you need a Personal Coach to give you portions of support? We all need a little support sometimes, some of us are just smart enough to get it. Think about some things that you need to change and start today.
Get checked out! It never ceases to amaze me, but I haven't seen a stressreduction book that talks in any real depth about the possibility that you may have depression or an anxiety disorder (or both). About 5-10% (approximately, or more) of the population will have this problem in their lifetime and for approximately 20% the problem is biological and can't be solved without the use of medications. These people are walking around feeling like "stressed-out failures" and it's not even their fault. If you think this might be a get checked out ASAP you be glad you didn't wait any longer to get their life back! Remember to that even if the stress is simply psychological, I could typically work with the client through these issues in about 15 to 20 sessions (at two times per week, you would know a new serenity within 8-10 weeks). Why live with it for another 10 years or longer?
Work on your relationships. Relationships are one of the most common areas that people come to me as a Personal Coach for help with. It is also a key stressor, because if you aren't happy in your relationships, you can't be happy period. I recommend you help in this area fast. Hire a counselor or Personal Coach, buy some books and study them, listen to structural CDs or DVDs, and research the topic on the Internet. We must master this key area, it affects our love life, careers, self-image, parenting, and many other areas as well. During this area into a study and pursue it until you reach mastery. Remember, relationships are first to study, then a practice (NOT the other way around). Build your skills in this area aggressively, you will be glad you did.
The morning wake-up. It never ceases to amaze me how people PLAN to have a bad day. "Oh God, it's Monday again. I just hope I can make it through this stinking day!" And sure enough, their date is lousy, as planned. Let's turn this around. Instead, tell yourself that today is going to be a great day. And not for no reason, but because YOU are in charge of your day. If things go great, take full credit. If things are challenging, take pride in handling it well and in maintaining a positive attitude. Remember, every day is a good day if you LEARN something from it.
