Big Fat Idiots
posted October 26, 2006 - 7:58amIs it just me or do you also take an almost devilish delight when something bad happens to Rush Limbaugh? I know it’s never really a good thing to wish for bad things to happen to people but sometimes people are just begging for it. Whenever that fat, moronic, blabbering idiot has something that happens that exposes him for the idiot he truly is it just makes my week that much brighter.
Not long ago Rush was found to be a drug addict. However you want to try to justify that the fact is that he was no better than a kid wandering the streets looking to stick a needle in his arm. The one major difference was that he was buying prescription medication. This is the same man who was repeatedly heard to spout things about how drug users should be strung up and put away for long stretches. Of course he had a way of blubbering his way out of his drug usage. Sure, he just had a slight problem but those other drug users should also find ways to step on people by spouting vile hatred into the airwaves and become a mouthpiece for a failed political party and pull themselves up by their bootstraps like ol’ Rush.
I remember when Rush had a television show. The man obviously had no sense of comedy. I have actually listened to his show. He repeatedly shows he has no sense of comedy. There was a time that whenever he mentioned Hillary Clinton he would have to play the entire song “She’s Havin’ My Baby” from beginning to end. Not only does the song choice not make any sense the decision to play the entire song makes no sense. We get it, Rush, you can stop beating the dead horse now. Thanks.
On the television show he would do things that were supposed to be funny and really showed he had no clue what he was doing. He would show a speech by Clinton or some Democratic senator from somewhere. What would this great comedic genius do then? He would superimpose his face over the speechmaker. Would he make funny faces? Would he do anything remotely funny? No, he would roll his eyes and look confused. This is not a stretch for the man because he is obviously very confused. Mega-dittoes El Rush-bo.
I rejoiced when he revealed that he had gone deaf. Of course it turns out that one of the possible side-effects of being addicted to Oxycontin is deafness. Does Rush admit that this is what caused his deafness? No, he attributes it to some miracle cure from some doctor no one has ever heard of.
Now Rush shows he truly is a moron by making fun of Michael J. Fox. Yes, it turns out Rush doesn’t know that Parkinson’s Disease and the medications used to treat it can cause someone with the disease to move about spastically and dramatically. The man who is supposedly so vastly intelligent he claims his talent is on loan from God Himself has not seen Michael J. Fox on the countless news and talk shows he has appeared on since he went public with his disease. Rush apparently never saw Michael J. Fox having his spasms on television. You know, like the rest of humanity has. There are pygmies on the other side of the world who know what Michael J. Fox is going through.
That’s the problem when you have lost yourself in ideals and rhetoric to the point where you have lost touch with reality. Far too many people on either side of the political fence have done this. Everyone seems to be pushing so hard for their particular political agenda they are forgetting what’s really good and important for people.
I have a hard time believing Rush really believes the things he spouts. How could anyone really believe that? A Republican and a Democrat could be standing side-by-side and say exactly the same thing. Rush would praise what the Republican said and find a million ways to discredit and make fun of what the Democrat said. A Democrat could come forward and declare that puppies are cute and furry and Rush would immediately say that puppies were Democratic propaganda and that Republicans had a better way of defining and dealing with the puppy problem.
Michael J. Fox is going around promoting Democratic candidates for Senate. He is a proponent of stem cell research. This happens to be something I also agree with. I think this research could be the greatest thing man has discovered since the polio vaccine but we can never be sure if it is a boon or a bust because the people who are doing the research can’t get the things they need to do the experiments. So, I have to confess to having a bias here.
Still, before you go onto your nationally syndicated talk show and start saying someone is exaggerating their disease you might want to have someone do a little bit of research to see if what you are saying is remotely true. Just some quick checking would probably have proven that Mr. Fox was not putting on some kind of show. Of course Rush then offers some half-assed apology and says Michael J. Fox is just having his disability used by the Democrats and he is just a shill for the Democratic party.
Hello kettle? This is pot. You’re black.
See, Rush, you are the shill here. I guess it takes one to know one. On the other hand if you actually do believe in something, such as stem cell research, and you want to make changes in attitude and laws about that subject you go out and promote those people. That’ not being a shill, that’s being active. You just spouting platitudes and arguing for the sake of arguing is not only being a shill but it’s being blind and ignorant too.
This is the same kind of thing you run into with people like Anne Coulter who evidently believes Democrats should be put into camps and everyone in the world should be carrying a sidearm. Of course all of these people love to tell you that a vote for a Democrat is the same as a vote for Osama Bin Laden. If Barrack runs for President in ’08 I fully expect political ads that show him ripping off his mask and revealing Osama beneath.
I congratulate Michael J. Fox for doing what he thinks is right. It must be difficult to put yourself out there when you are having trouble controlling your body. Of course if he were out there promoting increased spending for a losing war, tax breaks for the rich and for big business Rush would be saying he was a hero. You know, like Rush is a hero. Like when he charged twice as much for his stupid fan club for soldiers. A real hero gives stuff away, Rush, not charges more for them.
