Big Fat Idiots

Big Fat Idiots

Is it just me or do you also take an almost devilish delight when something bad happens to Rush Limbaugh? I know it’s never really a good thing to wish for bad things to happen to people but sometimes people are just begging for it. Whenever that fat, moronic, blabbering idiot has something that happens that exposes him for the idiot he truly is it just makes my week that much brighter.

Not long ago Rush was found to be a drug addict. However you want to try to justify that the fact is that he was no better than a kid wandering the streets looking to stick a needle in his arm. The one major difference was that he was buying prescription medication. This is the same man who was repeatedly heard to spout things about how drug users should be strung up and put away for long stretches. Of course he had a way of blubbering his way out of his drug usage. Sure, he just had a slight problem but those other drug users should also find ways to step on people by spouting vile hatred into the airwaves and become a mouthpiece for a failed political party and pull themselves up by their bootstraps like ol’ Rush.

I remember when Rush had a television show. The man obviously had no sense of comedy. I have actually listened to his show. He repeatedly shows he has no sense of comedy. There was a time that whenever he mentioned Hillary Clinton he would have to play the entire song “She’s Havin’ My Baby” from beginning to end. Not only does the song choice not make any sense the decision to play the entire song makes no sense. We get it, Rush, you can stop beating the dead horse now. Thanks.

On the television show he would do things that were supposed to be funny and really showed he had no clue what he was doing. He would show a speech by Clinton or some Democratic senator from somewhere. What would this great comedic genius do then? He would superimpose his face over the speechmaker. Would he make funny faces? Would he do anything remotely funny? No, he would roll his eyes and look confused. This is not a stretch for the man because he is obviously very confused. Mega-dittoes El Rush-bo.

I rejoiced when he revealed that he had gone deaf. Of course it turns out that one of the possible side-effects of being addicted to Oxycontin is deafness. Does Rush admit that this is what caused his deafness? No, he attributes it to some miracle cure from some doctor no one has ever heard of.

Now Rush shows he truly is a moron by making fun of Michael J. Fox. Yes, it turns out Rush doesn’t know that Parkinson’s Disease and the medications used to treat it can cause someone with the disease to move about spastically and dramatically. The man who is supposedly so vastly intelligent he claims his talent is on loan from God Himself has not seen Michael J. Fox on the countless news and talk shows he has appeared on since he went public with his disease. Rush apparently never saw Michael J. Fox having his spasms on television. You know, like the rest of humanity has. There are pygmies on the other side of the world who know what Michael J. Fox is going through.

That’s the problem when you have lost yourself in ideals and rhetoric to the point where you have lost touch with reality. Far too many people on either side of the political fence have done this. Everyone seems to be pushing so hard for their particular political agenda they are forgetting what’s really good and important for people.

I have a hard time believing Rush really believes the things he spouts. How could anyone really believe that? A Republican and a Democrat could be standing side-by-side and say exactly the same thing. Rush would praise what the Republican said and find a million ways to discredit and make fun of what the Democrat said. A Democrat could come forward and declare that puppies are cute and furry and Rush would immediately say that puppies were Democratic propaganda and that Republicans had a better way of defining and dealing with the puppy problem.

Michael J. Fox is going around promoting Democratic candidates for Senate. He is a proponent of stem cell research. This happens to be something I also agree with. I think this research could be the greatest thing man has discovered since the polio vaccine but we can never be sure if it is a boon or a bust because the people who are doing the research can’t get the things they need to do the experiments. So, I have to confess to having a bias here.

Still, before you go onto your nationally syndicated talk show and start saying someone is exaggerating their disease you might want to have someone do a little bit of research to see if what you are saying is remotely true. Just some quick checking would probably have proven that Mr. Fox was not putting on some kind of show. Of course Rush then offers some half-assed apology and says Michael J. Fox is just having his disability used by the Democrats and he is just a shill for the Democratic party.

Hello kettle? This is pot. You’re black.

See, Rush, you are the shill here. I guess it takes one to know one. On the other hand if you actually do believe in something, such as stem cell research, and you want to make changes in attitude and laws about that subject you go out and promote those people. That’ not being a shill, that’s being active. You just spouting platitudes and arguing for the sake of arguing is not only being a shill but it’s being blind and ignorant too.

This is the same kind of thing you run into with people like Anne Coulter who evidently believes Democrats should be put into camps and everyone in the world should be carrying a sidearm. Of course all of these people love to tell you that a vote for a Democrat is the same as a vote for Osama Bin Laden. If Barrack runs for President in ’08 I fully expect political ads that show him ripping off his mask and revealing Osama beneath.

I congratulate Michael J. Fox for doing what he thinks is right. It must be difficult to put yourself out there when you are having trouble controlling your body. Of course if he were out there promoting increased spending for a losing war, tax breaks for the rich and for big business Rush would be saying he was a hero. You know, like Rush is a hero. Like when he charged twice as much for his stupid fan club for soldiers. A real hero gives stuff away, Rush, not charges more for them.

Limbaugh, Fox, and shaking uncontrollably

One would think these two would have more in common... I haven't listened to Limbaugh since I was in college and attedning young republicans meetings. Hey, I wanted to be in-the-know, in-the-power, and in-the-cash. What can I say? I'm in-the-mortgage, in-the-credit-debt, and in-the-traffic nowadays. I'm all for MJF's rights as a human being to discuss his views on stem cell research. I'm all for cheesy 1980's werewolf movies. I'm totally itchin' for the B2TF box set this Christmas. I'm not surprised in the slightest that RL hasn't confessed to his own shakes, nor his deafness and miraculous recovery. He seems to have recovered from his weightloss as well. And has acquired a tobacco addiction. Cigars. The $20 kind. I like cigars too. But the $2.50 kind and about one a month. Anyway, he can't raise ire by discussing himself. MJF, on the other hand, can't raise ire by discussing the shakes one gets from sucking down too many straws of pixie dust. Instead he shows us the shakes he gets as a result of his disease while trying to raise awareness that there is research being done in attempt to cure it. Kudos to MJF. Al Frankin suggested that RL is a "Big Fat Idiot". I suggest that RL is in fact a shrewd businessman and entertainer who has stumbled in his fame and developed an addictive personality and now must compensate for his self inflicted defamation by verbally attacking Canadians. That's right. Canadians. MJF is a Canadian. Next RL will be all over Alan Alda and Rip Torn for getting old and living in California. Everybody knows that only liberals and Canadians retire to California when they get old. Conservatives and Jews move to Florida. You might think that a conflict of interest, but surprisingly, they get along famously. Don't even get him started on Dan Akroyd and the New Orleans thing. The fact of the matter is: RL uses his show and fame to make angry people listen to his show and stay angry and as a result RL makes $$$. Thus, therefore and hence... that is his job. Whether he enjoys it or not is irrelevent. MJF uses his fame and talents to raise $$$ and awareness for Parkinsons disease research. Hardly a selfless pursuit as he suffers from it, and who can blame him for advertising the worst parts? And then there is the Canadian thing...

Balaspa, we know your not elite, I was trying to boost you up

And as for you knowing your better than me and knowing that is good enough for you, well then, you prove my point, that is the ramblings of a very insecure man. But if that makes you feel good then by all means, yes Balaspa, you are much better than me. "Think what you want. You have to live with your own thoughts".

Balaspa, I'm not quite sure

Balaspa, I'm not quite sure you actually heard Rush's show this week. I was listening to it the other day when he talked about this commercial. Not once did he "make fun" of Michael J. Fox. If you'd like, you can go to his website and read the transcripts...they are posted for every show. He did not say that Fox was faking anything, he said that Fox was either acting or off his medications. Well, as it turns out, Fox said he was actually overmedicated, which is why his symptoms were exaggerated. If you take too much or not enough medication, the symptoms of Parkinson's are more prevalent. In either case, it was a manipulation of his meds that resulted in what was seen in the commercial, and it was done purposely, which he has also admitted to in the past. I don't have a problem with that. If that's what he wants to do to spread the awareness of this disease, that's fine with me. Now, as far as the content in this commercial goes, what he was implying is a major problem and factually incorrect. First of all, stem-cell research in Missouri is already legal and is being conducted in both private and public facilities. This commercial was made to support embryonic stem-cell research, funded by the federal government. Fox implies that this research has some miracle cure and it is the republican(s) that are against saving people afflicted with Parkinson's. Not only does it give false hope to people who suffer from this disease (since embryonic stem-cell research has proved nothing except that it causes tumors), but it portrays that anyone who is against it does not want to find cures for certain diseases and afflictions. This is nothing but politics, and when somebody steps into the political arena they should be prepared to defend their actions. What this commercial implies is completely absurd and it shouldn't matter who the person was that starred in it. I'm not sure how personally attacking Limbaugh helps your argument. His addiction to pain killers or his deafness have nothing to do with what he said. And what the media is reporting is completely out of context. You are simply participating in the same type of conduct you just complained about. I think you could do yourself a service if you actually listened, in the proper context, to what he has said about this entire situation.

No..

I don't consider myself elit in anything. In fact I have written many times I don't think any of us is better than anyone else. That's for Republicans to think. I think we're all here to try and help each other. I just know I'm better than you, Peaceful Pen, and that's enough for me.

Idolwhile, you just seem to always jump in to the "LEFT"

no what I'm sayin. The Hanoi Jane thing is only if the shoe fits. They know who they are and I'm glad you don't think thats you. Your southpaw tendencies may have thrown me off a bit. Sorry. By the way, you are not correct with this she male thingie that people are now following on the lemming bandwagon. It is ok by me really. And my signifigant other is fine with it. We do talk quite a bit, he and I. Things are not always as they seem.

It's too easy

to make fun of your spelling, dude. I told you I didn't like M. Moore about an hour ago, but guess you have a short attention span. And why are you hung up on this 'Hanoi Jane' thing? Have a good day, She-male.

Idolwild, you might hear blondes have nore fun

but I know they do lol. I'm out too bub. You are not a worthy opponent. To easy. Go back to hanging up your Hanoi Jane poster now and finish watching Farenheit 911

Ah the educated elite- Balaspa

No, you don't fall into a catagory, not much. So you fancy yourself the Educated Elite, yeah, that Harvard type crowd thats gonna teach us how it is. Though in your case it's probably Illinois community college. Whatever. You sir, are a LEMMING because you spew what the liberal media tells you to spew. Oh, so you may vote for a Republican Goveror. Thats like saying I have friends who are black. PEW. Now in my case, Rush and the boys and girls like Ann are only representing what I ALREADY believed. I did'nt have to go to a college to be brainwashed into LEMMINGHOOD like you may have. And your animal post proved my point. You spew what the liberal media tell you to spew. I think you should change your name to Liberal Media Puppet Lemming. lol. Yeah, if the shoe fits.

Well

She has already proved herself to be of limited intelligence, unable to think for herself and her spelling skills show a definite lack of formal education. So, you're right Idlewild, she probably doesn't deserve this much attention.

No, you didnt...

You didn't answer my subsequent reply. That I am not a lemming because I am willing to vote my heart and not just by party. That I was considering voting for a Republican gubernatorial candidate here in Illinois and that YOU are a lemming. Can you not see that? Are so stupid you actually don't know what a lemming is? If we take at face value that I am indeed a lemming (which I am not) then just because I am a liberal lemming and you are a conservative one does not make YOU any less of a lemming. You follow blindly, without questioning, the hate-filled spew of people like Limbaugh and others. That is, in every way, the very definition of a lemming. So, take a look in the mirror when you want to spot a lemming. Becuase you are just as much of one as I am. You should read my posting from the other day "The Animal Threat." It might send you into apoplectic fits. I know, I use big words PP...you may not understand what I am saying and if that posting about your "Reagen" post is correct you can't even spell your conservative heroes names correctly.
