The Biggest Loser I want your help and support.
posted April 7, 2009 - 3:47amI am going to ask all of your help here. I am a big lady. I did not used to be big and I don't over eat nor have I ever over eaten. Here is my story. I am currently on a track to become a healthy stable weight and it won't be done over night.
I weigh currently 311 lbs and that is much to large for my small boned 5'4 frame. I have hypothyrodism and gained most of my weight due to that glandular malfunction problem. It took doctors seven years to figure out what the problem was. My blood tests were not showing the problem. I was near heart failure when they finally realized I did have hypothyrodism and am among a rare few people who show negative when postive. I went from 130 lbs to 212 lbs then the rest was gained due to inactivity after a knee surgery and later a hysterectomy and bladder surgery.
I have no medical and I self pay as able a naturopath who monitors me and my goal and progress. I did not have much family support until this last year when they realized I was not doing well. Now my daughter and grandkids and son in law and husband are all supporting me.
In December I weighed 326 lbs. I got a second hand in excellent shape exercycle and also a cardioglider and I was using the ball before that. Where I live we have lots of snow. We still have snow and will for another 2 weeks then it will dry out. I will start walking then. Today I and my husband began 2 days a week aerobic water exercise for 2 hours each of the days. On Mondays after the class we will go to the senior center to dance for two hours as well.
I wear currently size 20-22 clothing. I hope by July to be down to 270 or less lbs. For my class reunion. I joined for free on line the NBC Biggest Loser league and will be charting my progress on there and on Facebook and Myspace.
If I could I would not mind being on the show that airs every Tuesday Night on NBC. But since that probably won't happen I will do this anyway.
Here is my first goal to lose to 299 lbs in the next 3 weeks. Then to 289 etc. I know I can do it. I want a cheering squad and if your motivated you can compare and see if you want to get on board for your health and lose weight and become healthier. I am 59 and don't want to be dead at 65.
Daily I put at least 1 and more often 2-3 miles on the exercycle bike. I drink 3 quarts or more of water per day and put 2 miles on the cardioglider. I now have stepped it up to the water aerobics twice a week 2 hours each class as well and Mondays two hours of dancing. As soon as the snow melts I plan to walk at least one mile a day or more.
I eat healthy use olive oil and eat salads, veggies, fruit, chicken, and salmon or tuna. I eat breakfast and have snacks and I do allow treats at times. Hope you will help me to keep going. Here is a photo of me NOW as of Feb 2nd this year.
