Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein Set to Plead Guilty to Solicitation of Underage Prostitutes

Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who has ties to the Governor of the US Virgin Islands and First Lady, Cecile DeJongh, is set to plead guilty for soliciting underage prostitutes. Epstein was arrested last year July, for soliciting prostitutes from his Palm Beach, Florida Mansion. The plea bargain should land him 18 months in prison.

On October 29, 2007, the New York Post’s page 6 published a story revealing Epstein’s deep financial ties to the Governor of the US Virgin Islands, John P. DeJongh, Jr. The Post reported that Mr. Epstein gave a sum of $1 million dollars to the DeJongh gubernatorial campaign and pays the private school tuition of his children, to attend the prestigious Antilles School. http://www.nypost.com Governor DeJongh has yet to issue a statement admitting or denying the New York Post story.

First Lady, Cecile DeJongh is the Director of Epstein’s charitable foundation in the Virgin Islands, known as the J Epstein VI Foundation. Billionaire Epstein keeps a high profile in New York, but uses the US Virgin Islands as his place of residence and place of business for tax purposes. Under a little known provision in federal law, that qualifies him effectively to cut his personal federal income tax bill by 90%. This provision in the federal law is well known to Virgin Islanders as the Economic Development Commission Beneficiaries. http://www.nysun.com/pf.php?id=8885&v=8455673911

The Foundation helped sponsor “CERCA: Confronting Gravity Workshop” that was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands in March 16-21, 2006. This workshop brought 22 of the World’s Top Physicists to the Virgin Islands. http://www/onepaper.com/stthomasvi/?v=d&i=&s=News:Local&p=1142054032 On Friday, March 17, 2006, all participants from the workshop were invited to a dinner on Little St. James Island that was hosted by owner, Jeffrey Epstein. http://www.phys.cwru.edu/events/grav_schedule.php

The Virgin Islands Daily News printed a story on October 30, 2006, with only a week remaining before the gubernatorial general election. Candidate DeJongh was the only candidate for governor that refused to release his tax records, stating his family’s personal income and connections were not worthy campaign issues.

Campaign attacks targeted DeJongh as being tainted by his affiliation with Epstein through his wife Cecile DeJongh. Candidate DeJongh is quoted in the Daily News as stating, “I have never even met Jeffrey Epstein, and I have not accepted any campaign donations from him”. http://www.virginislandsdailynews.com/index.pl/article_home?id=17598943

On October 30, 2007 their was wide spread speculation on a local radio talk show that’s hosted by Roger W. Morgan, in St. Croix called, “Free Speech”, that’s aired on Paradise 93.5. Callers to the program speculated that First Lady, Cecile DeJongh only worked for the foundation but probably never met her boss, Mr. Epstein. This speculation is rampant throughout the Virgin Islands because the First Family has yet to issue an official statement to dispel the New York Post story that has connected them to Mr. Epstein. This story has also opened up old questions and speculations before the gubernatorial election about candidate DeJongh’s refusal to release tax records.

Now Jeffrey Epstein is set to plead guilty in a sex scandal case in Palm Beach, Florida. Virgin Islanders want to know is the Governor or the First Lady, Cecile DeJongh still affiliated with Mr. Epstein? What were the real reason(s)behind candidate DeJongh's refusal to release his tax records? Is it possible the $1 million dollars that was given to him by Epstein might show up on his tax records? Does Cecile DeJongh still work as the Director of the J Epstein VI Foundation on St. Thomas or Little St. James Islands? Is Epstein still paying the tuition for the Governor's children to attend the prestigious Antilles School on St. Thomas?

These questions and more are still burning in the minds of Virgin Islanders. Are they asking themselves, did we put the right man in Government House? These questions remained unanswered by Governor DeJongh’s administration. Stay tuned to see what would be uncovered in this unfolding story.
