Bipartisan Concern About the Dangers of McPalin’s Hate-Mongering
posted October 12, 2008 - 1:02amJohn McCain and Sarah Palin will say or do anything to get elected. We get it. But, what the Republican ticket is doing these days is nothing short of playing with fire. Rather than challenge Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's policies and positions, they are attacking the man himself and attempting to assassinate his character with the most baseless and flimsy lies and half-truths this country has seen since Willie Horton in 1988. Worse yet, McCain and Palin are using what can only be described as smear tactics and hate-mongering to incite very real violence in this country.
It is one thing to disagree with a man's politics and say so. It is another thing entirely to use inflammatory ad hominems and conspicuously condone hate speech and terrorist threats at Republican rallies. McCain and Palin have a responsibility to placate instead of incite and rationally discuss issues instead of accuse Obama of being an anti-American closet Muslim and terrorist.
It isn't just Democrats that are concerned. Republicans are too, which you will see in the article and video.
