BK to Offer New Steakburger

Burger King is introducing its "Steakhouse XT" burger set to hit stores equipped with its new broiler in March 2009. It's a thicker burger patty at a lower price that the No. 2 burger chain hopes to reel in new customers.

For "someone who was having a premium burger at an Applebee's or a Chili's that's paying $9 to $11 dollars and can come to Burger King for a Steakhouse Extra Thick burger and pay $5 to $6 dollars, that's value to them," said Burger King Chief Executive John Chidsey.

They're not bad as far as fast food burgers go

We eat at Carl's Jr more just because of location, but the BK steak burgers are okay for something you'd buy in fast food.
