Free Blackberry Simulators Available from Research in Motion -- Training & Development or Try a Model Before Buying

Are you interested in trying out all of the features of a Blackberry Model without visiting the store and being bugged by salespeople? How about really giving an in depth look into all of its features? Or if you are a developer this is the platform that will allow you to develop and test your software on. My purpose is to develop a training environment so I can host a webex for my 20 or so Blackberry Storm users.

Research in Motion has Blackberry Simulators available for all of the recent models of Blackberry. I downloaded the Storm Model and am amazed at how thorough the software is. It has the full range of features you have on an actual Blackberry device. You can even make simulated phone calls and compose messages. You can simulate an EVDO (Verizon, Sprint, Vodaphone) network or a GSM (At&t, T-Mobile) network. You can even simulate recording test voice notes. It is a very thorough software package. You can also download simulators based on the software code running on the Blackberries. The simulator comes in all the current flavors of Blackberries and there are even versions for older models. There are versions of the Bold, Curve, Pearl, Storm, Perl Flip, all the way back to 7100, 6710's and 6210's etc...

With the simulation software you can configure the simulator to interact with the Blackberry desktop manager and even set up an e-mail account and load applications.

If you are a Research in Motion mobile developer or would like to train users how to use a Blackberry device this is the tool for you. If you are an interested buyer this tool will give you a very thorough experience and will show you exactly what you can do with the device.

Update: Here is a link to the simulators:
