Blackburn 3-1 Portsmouth

The Rovers fans in Ewood Park were underwhelmed at the very poor first half by Blackburn in the Barclays Premier League. Jamie O'Hara managed to give Pompey the lead with a long range effort that hit the back of the net. The Blackburn shot-stopper will be disappointed to have been beaten from such a distance. At half time it was one nil to Portsmouth. The second half was another matter. The Ewood Park outfit seemed to only realise the required standard of premiership football. They put in a big performance, Jason Roberts grabbing a brace which was split up by a goal from Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen. Blackburn will have been relieved to get the win since for much of the game a loss seemed on the cards. BBC match report at link below.
