Body Temperature
posted August 12, 2006 - 9:49amI am currently in a relationship with someone who I have not spent a night away from since the first time we had sex. At times I think Its very odd that I only go home for clothes and food and spend every other spare minute with this new guy.
He at first seemed perfect. He's tall, not drop dead gorgeous but definately easy on the eyes, has a job, has a house, he seemed really sweet and my family loves him. Not to mention he wasn't really lacking between the sheets, there are no complaints from me at all in that department, or I should say were.
I have bad circulation, which means my hands and feet are always freezing. I dont really sweat that much unless its really hot out and Im wearing a lot of clothing. Sometimes during sex I thought it was hot if I got all sweaty with a guy, it made it more intense. Until this one night with the new guy.
While doing the deed, me on bottom, all of the sudden I feel a couple drips on my left shoulder, and then my right boob. I look down, very distracted considering im in the middle of sex. Little drops of sweat were dripping from his hairy armpits on to my freshly showered naked body. Now I know he cant help it, but it really grossed me out. So I'm laying there, collecting pools of his sweat on my body, now unable to enjoy the act of sex at all-just waiting for it to be over to get his sweat off of me.
So I mention to him later how I notice he sweats a lot, and he tells me that he, along with a lot of other guys, are always warm and therefore have a tendency to sweat more. I tell him how I am cold all the time. I had no idea how much conflict in our relationship a little body temperature difference could cause.
Summer nights are amazingly cool in Michigan, where we live. I think that they are still warm, but just cool enough to sleep in. The new guy thinks that the A/C should be cranked all night and hands me a sheet to put over myself when I tell him that Im freezing.
But it doesnt end with that. Car rides the air is always blowing as strong as possible, even when its 70 out when Im more of a windows down kinda girl. Showers he likes cold while I like them almost burn-my-skin sculding. Fans blowing in every room ON TOP of having the air on, to make it extra cold. I honestly walk around his house in the summertime with a sweatshirt on.
Maybe I just look for problems in my relationships and since this guy was abnormally perfect, I decided to pick him apart to find a flaw. It is hard to be mad at someone or fight because of their body temperature when they really cant control it. So I decided one of the many reasons men and women fight over nothing is body temperature. Think about it, maybe it makes sense to someone else other than me.

Wow, your writing here made
Wow, your writing here made me gag, it's so descriptive with the armpit sweat. Yeah, that can be cause for concern.

I guess you can always do it in the bathtub. Use lukewarm water, a compromise!
