bodybuilding
posted January 2, 2009 - 9:01amWhat is the world coming to? Every picture you see these days, all the actors from Hollywood to Bollywood seem to be prancing around showing off their new found body! Take this Indian actor for example:

He is around 42 years of age, and in around one year gained a body that has shocked allot of viewers.
Ok, so he's not the biggest, or rather doesn't have the best of physiques. However, you have to complement what he accomplished at his age in a short period of time.
So how do you get a body like that?
First things first, I want to show you that I know what I’m talking about. I myself am a biochemist and a bodybuilder. I have been bodybuilding for 3 years now whilst coping with a busy working life.
The most important thing to consider before even thinking about bodybuilding is that you understand yourself. Have you got the commitment? It is all about commitment, if you don't have it, it's not for you. You also have to think about the fact that you are going to have to spend a lot of money on gym membership, including food supplement which are costly.
Now let’s get started! You need a good diet plan, I won't provide you with one, because we have our vege's and vegans out there! Here's a link that will provide you with a solid guide for any nutrition plan with a range of testimonials to go with it!

Once you have your diets suited, to whatever suits you, you need to think about protein supplements, there are so many things out there. However, I would highly recommend whey protein. Here is another link that will give you a great insight into the supplements out there that you can buy:

A great store in the United Kingdom with good priced supplements:

Good, we're getting somewhere. All you have to do now is train. I would like to stress the point of not working out primary muscle groups on the same day i.e. chest and back, as this will hinder growth. You should keep to a good regime, mine for example:
Monday: bicep - triceps
Tuesday: back - calfs
Wednesday: off
Thursday: chest (I focus a lot of attention here, as it is my weakest body part).
Friday: shoulders - traps.
I try to stick to 8-10 reps with 4 sets for each.
I could throw a pile of exercises at you. In fact I will, you need to vary your exercises, say, every month alter it all a little so that you muscles don't get bored of growing.
Types of exercises:

Really, that’s all there is to it. If you find yourself going a bit chubby, as I have: It’s because we need to throw in some cardio, never bypass cardio, and keep on them abs!
Results will come, real slow, as millions of bodybuilders will admit; it’s worth the wait and the pain. Just make sure you EAT, EAT, and SLEEP, WORK-HARD! AND EAT!!
