Boost Mobile Prepaid Monthly Unlimited Plan $50

Boost Mobile is known to be a value prepaid cell phone service provider aimed mostly at a younger audience.

The Boost Mobile Monthly Unlimited prepaid plan was unveiled earlier this year and caused quite a stir when the price for the plan was revealed.  Other companies (not to mention investors) worried that too low of a price would lead to a prepaid price war.

Boost is one of the prepaid providers offering an unlimited plan for those people who talk a lot, text a lot, and surf the web a lot.  Subscribers get to use unlimited minutes, unlimited texting, and can browse the web all they want.

See how Boost Mobile's Monthly Unlimited plan stacks up against another popular plan from TracFone Straight Talk (which goes for five bucks less than the boost plan): TracFone vs Boost.

Unlimited plans are a good option for people who use quite a few minutes of talk time month in and month out.  The main thing that encourages people to use these kinds of "pay as you go" plans over "postpaid" contract plans is the unlimited talk time feature.  The limitless text messages is also an attractive thing that is enticing more and more people into looking for prepaid plans as an option for their mobile communication.

Boost Mobile, TracFone, and MetroPCS all have pretty good deals at the moment.  The prepaid market is still heating up, so prices are hot.

Three things to know about prepaid phones:

  • No contract needs to be signed to purchase one of these plans
  • There are no commitments
  • You don't have to undergo a credit check
  • Unlimited plans provide you with all the minutes and text message you can use

Why are prepaid phones so hot right now?

The reason plans like Boost Mobile monthly unlimited plan is so hot right now is because the wireless market is changing.  Just like in many other industries, the cellular phone service is experiencing what you might call a correction.

In other words, consumers realize that they don't have to sign a two-year contract and become a slave to Verizon (which has supposedly doubled its early termination fee) or T-Mobile.  There's simply no reason to overpay for your cell phone use, and several companies saw that there was an opening to attract people to cheaper prepaid plans.

This has helped companies like Boost Mobile and TracFone get large numbers of converts to subscribe to their services.  Boost Mobile really struck the iron while it was hot, getting into the market early with the $50 Unlimited Monthly plan.  Read about other prepaid providers that have cheap deals.
