Conservative Mayor of London Boris Johnson took on veteran BBC political journalist and presenter Jeremy Paxman over his tax payer funded BBC salary which is rumoured to be around £1 million a year. Mr Johnson apparently asked Mr  Paxman "five or six times" but did not receive an answer to his question. However, the BBC has angered viewers by heavily editing the interview when it appeared on television.
