The oil rich city of Port Harcourt that has been enmeshed in cult related fightings ofrecent, last weekend went up in flames resulting in the death of over fifteen persons.
The state's radio was razed down as well as other public facilities which were torched.
The Rivers State commissioner for information went to air to say that the recent violence is not far removed from the doorsteps of political opposition.
The Inspector General of Police paid a visit and the federal government which have been suggested to to declare a state of emergency have declined the suggestion and maintained they would not tolerate such heinous action again and would do anything to ensure the protection of lives and properties.
