Of all the diseases ravaging lives and havoc, cancer is fast becoming the worst culprit killing millions yearly. Often it results to death only because of late detection and this can easily be avoided through a monthly brest self examination. So many are so busy trying to make ends meet, put food on the table and keep the family together that they most times neglect the state of their health. It will take only little of your time every month, shorter than the time you'll have had to spend on a an hospital bed. It should be done regularly once in a month, the best time being 7-10 days after the start of menstrual cycle or the same day every month for women who have past menopause.
I am treating one of these methods in this article and subsequent ones will follow.
THE PROCESS
Now, you are seaching for any abnormal lump, swellings or dimplings on the breast. But note that not all swellings are cancerous so if you notice any do well to consult your doctor.
SEARCHING FOR LUMPS WHILE LYING DOWN
1. Lie down on your back comfortably.
2. Place a pillow under your right shoulder and raise your right arm above your head.
3. Using your left hand soaped finger held flat together, roll and press the breast firmly
3. Using either circular, wedge or vertical strip motions feel a small portion of the breast at a time until the entire breast and under arm have been checked.
4. Repeat this process checking your left breast with your right hand.
