I see Palin's daughter as a victim of the immorality
of the neo-lib cancer that is spreading in our nation. When you get an education system that encourages sexual activity before reaching adulthood, and gives out condoms to teenagers, and teach them "sexual education" (which, in my opinion, it is teaching them promiscuity and immoral behavior), it is not a surprise that young students, bombarded by our moral less education system falls prey to the agenda. A 14, 15, 16 years old is not mature enough to consider the consequences of careless and irresponsible sexual activity, and hormones usually can do more than even a stringent and healthy home education.
And we want democrats in the government? Ah, OK, that is, if we want national suicide. By refusing and rejecting the morals and ethics that have made our nation great, powerful and prosperous, the neo-lib democrats are digging the grave for America.
Vote democrat and get your ready to mourn. And never say you were not warned.

Playing the blame game again?
People, including 17 year olds, are responsible for their own (sexual) behavior. If you have to blame someone blame her and the father of the kid. Now, if the kid was not planned for the pregnancy would most likely not have occured if the ouple were actually using a condom during sex.
Teenagers will have sex, they will not do as you tell them and some of them will get pregnant. Make the best of it instead of trying to blame a political ideology for the actions of individuals! Especially blaming democrats for the actions of a republicans daughter seems like a bit of a strech to me. Maybe it was Palin that didn't do a good job teaching her kids about sex?? who cares? It's nobody's business but Palin and her family.
Personally I don't see any reason to automatically view a pregnant teenager as a victim of anything just because she is a pregnant teenager. (It's always easier to place blame if you can put a popularized label on something tough)
Yes, yes
It's always the fault of those nasty liberals. The mother, one of those righteous conservatives, is totally blameless of course. :)

No blame game here
Simple statement of the damage the neo-libs are perpetrating against our youth with their promiscuous and perverted agendas.
50 years ago, we didn't have these problems. Ask yourself why? But be honest for a change.

Agenda?
Seems to me that it is actually you that is using this particular teen pregnancy as a tool in your own political agenda against the so called "Neo-libs".
"50 years ago, we didn't have these problems"
What problems? And can you back that up? Were there really no teen pregnancys fifty years ago?
You sound like you were never a teenager
You never disobeyed your parents, you were never attracted by the liberal agenda of "whatever feels good, do it, and don't worry of the consequences", you never had hormones raking havoc in your body, you never gave in to peer pressure.
Parents have a hard time fighting the system which is promoting anti family promiscuous activities and attitudes. The system IS an enemy to the family and its moral and ethic values. The system is posed to destroy the family and what it stands for.
But you have the choice to blindfold yourself from the reality we live in.

50 years ago we had other problems. Would you like to roll the clock 50 years? Just ask a woman or an African American how nice that would be.
This isn't about liberalism vs conservatism. It's about responsible parenting. I've seen great parents were were liberals, who raised kids who became responsible adults. I've also seen the same from conservative households.
Yes, I've also seen crappy kids come from both conservative and liberal households. Why? Crappy parenting.
Sorry, but you're just plain wrong.
Disobeying Parents.....Now Get Married!
So she screwed around because of liberals and now she is gonna make a bigger mess by marrying the father, most likely because of the conservatives. You really think this marriage has any chance of lasting?
I'm now actually wondering about this. Was this girl forced to not have an abortion? Is she being forced to marry a guy she got knocked up by to save her mother's career? Not saying this is true, just a thought.
We had in the '60s and '70 a nice mantra:
"Make love not war". What did that brought us? A rebellious, disrespectful, promiscuous and immoral generation. Well, look at it today. We have more war and less love than we had 50 years ago. Morality and ethics that have been the solid foundation of our nation were thrown out the window. And what is the mantra today? "Make love, not war". More of the same destructive and damaging path.
We are never learning the lessons of history.

Raging harmones
They kick in at quite an early age. That's why it's just plain stupid to tell kids to just abstain from sex. It's unrealistic.
This "liberal agenda" that is supposedly against family and values is all in your head. It was put their by the religious crackpots. This rhetoric is so tired, old, and ridiculous.
You remind me of white supremacists who want to blame everything thing that's wrong in the world on non-whites. Only with you, it's "liberalism." Same mindset, different scapegoats.

Abstinence has worked for many, many centuries
And has been part and parcel of the mortality and ethics of mankind since inception. We are destroying the very foundation of our civilization. There are lessons, good lessons to learn from history. But we think we are better than that. Well, guess what, times may change, societies may change, but the human nature cannot change. Unless we cease to be humans. And if we lift the moral and ethical restrains that have cause mankind to evolve and prosper, then we have no right to complain against the destruction of our society. And you know well where this path is taking us. But you are too proud to admit it. Yet, I know, without a doubt, that deep in your heart, you feel that things are not good and they are not getting better. I will leave it that. It's a matter between your pride and your conscience.

Where are the hippies?
How did the hippie mantra suddenly become a part of this? but anyway, How about just make love and leave out the war part? or are you suggesting the less destructive path would be to make war and not love? Is a marginal group of neo-hippies responsible for war or the american republican government that are sending troops to middle eastern countries? Or neither ?
you're wrong by the way, there was just as much war 50 years ago. And love is still very much present if you let it come to you. Have you lost your belief in love lmorovan?
From my point of view you're still playing the blame game to further your political agenda.
People got married at a much
People got married at a much younger age in past centuries. And if we really believe promiscuity wasn't a problem 50 or more years ago, I have a bridge I'd like to sell ya.
If you really look at history -- the brutality, religious persecution, racism and outright barbarity -- I'd say we have come forward somewhat. Things have actually gotten better, although we still have a very long way to go as a race.
I'm sure you love it if everyone lived their life in accordance to a work of fiction written nearly 2,000 years ago. But quite frankly, I can't think of a more odious thought.
