British Glam Rock of the 1970s

Do you remember the heady days of the 1970s? Do you remember the outrageous clothes, make-up, hairstyles, and platform boots of the Glam Rock groups and singers such as, Marc Bolan and T.Rex, The Sweet, Mud, Slade and even David Bowie.

Glam Rock was a phenomenon that grew in Britain in the early 1970s, in response to hippy laden music and the excesses of progressive rock. It was stomping, fun, glittery and immediate - and it spawned a bevy of memorable hit singles that are still fondly remembered today.
