Britons Prefer Sleep to Sex, Study Shows (and It's Not Even Close)
posted March 1, 2009 - 11:58pmWe all know that many Westerners are sleep deprived, but a new survey from Britain shows just how serious the problem is: More than three fourths of Britons asked "would rather have a good night's sleep than indulge in sexual intercourse with their partners."
Specifically, 79% of respondents said they preferred the idea of extra sleep over sex.
Lack of sleep, rather than lack of interest in sex, seems to be the reason: just 12 per cent of respondents said that they got eight hours of shuteye on most nights. Seventy percent of the people surveyed had trouble sleeping, the researchers found.
