Something that crossed my mind today in regards to bullying is that we have done all that we can to stop domestic violence and child abuse, verbal and/or physical, but people seem to do little about bullies.

It seems that people turn a deaf ear to children being bullied, but if a woman is beaten mentally or physically by her significant and a child is beaten or belittled by a parent this is different, and considered to be wrong.

This is no different, and teasing a child about their looks or their home life can be just as mentally damaging as if their parents were doing it.

I remember going to school and having a group of girls beating me almost daily. For almost the entire eighth grade I had black eyes. Usually if one of the girls were alone when they saw me, they would run away, but for some reason it never crossed my mind to hurt them. I just never had that evil spirit inside of me the way they did when they were in a group together.
