Burger King Bath: Worker Fired for Bubble Bath in Food Sink

A Burger King employee in Ohio has been fired for taking a bubble bath in a sink at the restaurant and posting it on YouTube. The employee, who has a Mohawk haircut and numerous tattoos, calls himself "Mr. Unstable."

The employee at the Xenia, Ohio Burger King is seen on a four-minute video bathing naked in the sink as several employees and a manager look on. Supposedly all the employees involved were fired as well as the bather. And what in the world was the manager thinking... that this was some kind of morale-building team-bonding experience?

Burger King says that the sink has been sanitized twice and that all the utensils used were disposed of.

When Burger King commericals say "Have it your way," I don't think this is what they had in mind.

And Here I Am, Not-Working-with-Food because I DON'T Wash

(Well, I bathe regular---just like you. I just don't wash my hands at every opportunity.) I believe in the Immune System, that it'll take care of anything that might kill customers; but apparently hirers 'don't want to take unnecessary risks' lol. ... signed, Uncle MythMan---Big Fan of stars like mom Pam Shriver, friend Vanessa Montagne & Lena Li--Xombie Plan

Employee must wash hands after #1 or #2

It's not just fast food, either... diners have gotten sick even at better restaurants. The good news is that it's pretty easy to prevent this kind of transmission through simple handwashing. Preventing the bacteria that's on the food itself is another problem.

Burger bathtub

"I am actually slightly surprised that they didn't just dispose of the entire bathtub itself...is it too expensive or something?" Well, it was a sink, and I guess they figured cleaning it would be enough. And in terms of sanitation, it should be. But customers may still feel sqeamish, no matter how much that sink is cleaned.

Bathing is bad, I'll admit, but what about those who don't wash

This is one of the more egregious examples, I'll admit, but what about all those fast food employees who don't even bother to wash their hands after doing "twosies" in the restroom? You are really taking a huge chance when eating at a fast food place anymore, especially since the trend is to hire, erm, visitors from south of the border, many of whom come from small towns without indoor plumbing or knowing to wash hands after using the toilet. Not that people here wash all the time, but how many cases of e coli outbreak or food poisoning are not from contaminated meat but from poor hygiene habits? DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

It's not always good to be the [Burger] King

He certainly wasn't showing hospitality to people who were eating "away from home"! At least when you cook your own meals at the house, you know what is (and isn't) in the meal.

Bathing utensils

Ummm.... I'm not sure I want to know what utensils he used, and for what. Maybe a ladle to pour the water over his body?

Hey! I don't see the

Hey! I don't see the problem here! People need to bathe too. Some just do it in different locations than others! I am actually slightly surprised that they didn't just dispose of the entire bathtub itself...is it too expensive or something? Want to join Xomba earn money with your writing? Maybe Xenia was living up to its name

which supposedly means in Greek "hospitality, generosity and courtesy shown to those far away from home". See? He needed a bath but was too far away from home. This is one gross story.
