Can Liverpool still win the Premiership?

I think the next few weeks will be vital in Liverpools race for the Premiership title. They are playing Wigan tonight and need to win this will then put them 10 points behind Arsenel with 1 game in hand they will still be in fourth place with both Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of them.

They need maximum points in there next 3 or 4 games to keep the pressure on the teams above them. Next weekend is a break in the premiership race as its the Third round of the FA Cup. Liverpool have a tricky away game at Luton. The third round is historically a minefield for the top clubs and normally a few get knocked out by the underdogs. However I would expect Liverpool to overcome Luton. If they win tonight and again on saturday their confidence will be high.

Their fixtures for the next few weeks are:

12th Jan Middlesbrough away
21st Jan Aston Villa home
29th Jan West Ham away
2nd Feb Sunderland home

Then a big match on 10th Feb Chelsea away this one is a no lose situation as Chelsea are above them at the moment, as long as they have won the other matches and results go their way they will need to try a beat Chelsea to go above them in the league. Also in Feb the champions league knockout phase restarts and they have difficult draw against a good european team Inter Milan.

The latest news is that their title asperations have suffered a major setback with a 1-1 draw with wigan they are now 12 points behind Arsenal with one game in hand, I think this might be too far even this early in the title race,
