What is a really stable career nowadays? It's the health care industry. The economy is crashing and people are are losing their jobs left and right. Therefore, it would be good to learn more about a stable job market. Despite all
economic downfall the health care field has remained in top shape. Health care professionals are living a breeze. They have no problem in this poor economy when everyone else is suffering from job losses.

The healthcare industry will definitely give you jobs security. You'll never have problems working there. There are some strict entrance requirement though. You have to have a clean criminal record. You can't have a misdemeanor or a felony because the board won't grant you a license. Even if you finished the program they won't be able to grant you a license. You have to be free from diseases before entering the program because they don't want you to spread the diseases to people. One example is tuberculosis. They don't want anybody to have TB because it can be easily transferred to patients. You'll also need to complete all of your prerequisite before you will get a chance to apply to the program. Without it they won't look at your application. This is how it's different from other major. With other you can just jump right into the major without applying for the program.

The program is available with a two years program and a four years program. You can still test for your license at a two years program. The difference with the four years program is that you'll be taking more classes toward management of nursing and when you graduate you can work in management. The two years program will not allow you to work in management. You can still get your Register Nurse license in the two years program. You will be taking the same national license with the four years program student. The test will be the same level of difficulty. The two years and the four years will get pay almost the same with the four years getting about $4 more.

What are the different types of health care programs? There is the nursing program, respiratory therapy, dental, pharmaceutical, medical doctor, radiologist, social worker, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner. Some of these are two years whereas others are
8 years. They all required that you take a test in order to be license. If you put in the time and effort you can secure yourself a stable career in any kind of recession.
