Caribbean Golf Gem: St Croix

St Croix in the US Virgin Islands offers travelers sun, sand surf and great greens. For golfers seeking a Caribbean vacation, check out the golf course gems in St Croix.

St Croix is the largest of the three US Virgin Islands at 84 square miles. The island is surrounded by the Caribbean Sea and features beautiful beaches. Play a round of golf on a course that Travel and Leisure Golf “cited as one of the most scenic.” This par 70, 18 hole golf course is just over 5,600 yards of spectacular golfing and Caribbean views.

Resort amenities include guest sweets, hotel beach, beach bar, and gourmet restaurant. At its beachside location, The Buccaneer offers several water sports in addition to tennis, natural trails to hike and weekly guest events. Carambola Golf Resort
Carambola Golf and Country Club is part of the Carambola Beach Resort on the northwest coast of the island. Named for the star fruit tree, the Carambola Resort was part of a 4,000 acre development by the late Laurence Rockefeller. Located on what once was a thriving sugar plantation during Danish colonial occupation of the island, ruins of the stone houses of the plantation and the signature sugar mills are found on the resort site. The course sits in a valley on the edge of a rainforest, just a short distance from the oceanfront Carambola Beach Resort.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, the Carambola Golf Course the 18 hole golf course offers golfers scenic views and great drives.
