Carrots are good for the heart....
posted January 29, 2008 - 8:25pmStudies have indicated that one large carrot contains 11,000 i.u of vitamin (international unit) of Vitamin A from betacarotene. By eating one large carrot a day, they can prevent the formation of plaques in the walls of the coronary arteries and eventually prevent the condition called atherosclerosis which blocks blood flow, thus reducing the risk of heart attack. Since carrot contains Vitamin A, being a skin nutrient, it can bring smoother, more radiant complexion and generally great skin. So if you want to live long enough and have great looking skin, have a daily regimen of eating a carrot a day. There are different ways to do it like taking it raw with some dressing, or perhaps drinking carrot juice, or mixing it with you favorite vegetable dish.
