CAUTION: Beware the MySpace-Phishers' Virus

First–after assuring you that I AM NOT a hacker or phisher trying to get your ID-info– I want to make a confession.

I was STUPID enough to sign into MySpace without making sure it actually was MySpace!

See, I got a bulletin 'from' one of my friends who said she needed comments on her newest pic. I clicked it, and it took me to a page that looked like the MySpace login-page

I thought, 'Hmm, I guess I timed-out,' and filled out the information without checking the address-bar. That took me back to my MySpace homepage, and I scrolled down, clicked on my friend's bulletin, clicked on the link she gave again, and was taken to the MySpace login-page again!

Wait a minute! DEE-DEE-DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I -hello- LOOKED UP AT THE ADDRESS-BAR, and–sure enough!–NOT MYSPACE!

Then I 'Back'-buttoned to my homepage there, and saw that 'I' had posted another bulletin that led to a phishing page like my friend's. At first, I blamed her for it, accused her of 'phishing' and took her off my friend-list; then I noticed that several others had also been duped.

So, after changing my password, I posted a BS-notice reminding people to CHECK THE MYSPACE-LOGIN ADDRESS-BAR!

Check the Myspace-Login Address-Bar!

Btw, I don't see which message you're talking about. For some reason, I remember something like that though, hmm... This phishing thing must have caught on in a hurry, I see that bogus log in page couple times a day now. By the way, when I'm redirected to another page, I almost Never look at the address bar. Thanks for letting us know!
