Century-Old Lobster

Recently a 22-pound lobster, which is believed to be about 100 years old, was caught in the waters of Canada's Bay of Fundy. It is currently on display at a fish market and the owner plans to auction it off in the next few weeks.

The lobster is attracting quite a number of visitors and publicity. There is a petition to gain the lobster's freedom and currently the highest bid for the lobster is $3500 from a woman that wants to win the crustacean's release.

At least give him a good home for the rest of his years...

Someone could at least give him a good home. It would be interesting to see how long he lives. Everything I have seen says that lobsters can live up to 50 years and some say a maximum of 100. (the average is 15 years or so) This one seems to be very rare. I wonder what the method is for determining the age of a lobster. 100 Year Old Lobster

Don't know how it's going to taste - tough and chewy most probably. So release the poor thing.

I wouldn't eat him either..

But I don't eat lobster anyway...Even so, 100 years? Lord knows where that thing has been.

I wouldn't eat him either.

I wouldn't eat him either. If he is anything like deer and elk this lobster is going to taste very gamey and his meat is probably really tuff. I'd stick with the young ones.

I'm with you,Lady..Let him go!

Big-Dee-Dee the 100 year old lobster deserves to be spared the pot. I'm sure that the highest bidder will do the right thing; at least I hope so. Free Domain Names Free Cell Phones with Great Plans - Compare Major Carriers' Rates
