Universal today released the official trailer for the upcoming flick Charlie Wilson’s War starring Tom Hanks. The film, directed by Mike Nichols (Closer, The Guardian, The Birdcage) is based on the book Charlie Wilson’s War: The Extraordinary Story of the Largest Covert Operation in History by George Crile that followed Texas congressman Charlie Wilson in his attempts to thwart Soviet Communism in Afghanistan. The film also stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julia Roberts, Emily Blunt and Amy Adams.
