My preschooler and I needed cheap plane tickets for Seattle to North Carolina. I went to the popular sites to search cheap airfare , Orbitz, CheapTickets and Expedia. All offered low prices but for two tickets the total cost was still more then $550.

By far the prices on the Delta airlines website were better deals then all the other cheap airline ticket websites.
I ordered my tickets online right there. Ordering on the phone is an additional $20 fee per ticket. Delta airlines website is easy to use to book the flight and now my daughter and I are going to North Carolina for less then $470 total.

My dates and times of travel were not set in stone. So I was able to play with the days I was leaving. I also booking more then 3 weeks in advance. My original airport choice was Atlanta. The airport in Charlotte NH was the same distance, 2 1/2 hours from my destination.

My cheap airfare leaves on a tuesday and returns a week later on a thursday, the two best days to search cheap airfare. It also requires a stop in atlanta before going on to North Carolina. It was actually cheaper to book this flight then to go directly to and stay at the atlanta airport.
