Chicago Tribune Ghost Story Contest

Contest Deadline is Sunday October 25 at Midnight (CST)

pumpkin treeParium2008SXC.HU_.comParium2008.jpgThe Chicago Tribune is currently running a fictional ghost story contest in connection with the upcoming Halloween celebration. Contest specs require a 700-word (not one word more, but can be less) ghost story, which has not been previously published. The word count does not include the story’s title.

Story entries must center on an area of Chicago or a Chicago business to qualify. Contest requirements also call for your ghost to have a real mission in the story. Deadline for this contest is Saturday, October 25 at midnight (CST). The Tribune is accepting email submissions only, which can be sent to ghoststory@tribune.com

The winning entry will publish in the Tribune on November 1. See the link below for additional information about the contest, as well as a link to some of the ghostly tales, already submitted. Good luck!
