Chicken Pox parties on the rise

Chicken Pox parties on the rise

Now that is a party I do not want to be at. Moms in NYC are planning play dates with children who have Chicken Pox in order for their children to contract the disease. The moms are wary of giving their children more vaccines and being that alot of children can handle Chicken Pox and that it makes their immune system stronger they would rather them get the disease than the vaccine.

It seems a little demented but I can see the logic behind it. Both my brother and I had the Chicken Pox and really nothing happened. And once you get it, you pretty much can't get it again. And doctors do give children a lot of vaccines now so I understand that as well. The excuse about vaccines and autism is weak. The element that was supposedly linked to autism in vaccines was taken out in 1999.
