Chinese Gymnast Old Maids: So the International Olympic Committee has opened and closed their investigation into the underage Chinese gymnasts, saying that everything checks out; they're all of competing age, despite the compelling evidence to the contrary, let alone how obviously young many of them appear. It's reminding people of Danny Almonte & the 2001 Little League World Series in reverse: (He was too OLD to be playing, but he threw a perfect game and his team won.) More than anything it reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer kept bragging about being the best in his karate (care-a-TAY) class, and then come to find out, he was training with grade school kids.
