Chinese-Tibet Relations

China and Tibet have always had a shakey relationship. But from 1951-1959 matteres only got worse when China forced Tibetan diplomats to sign a 17point agreement, forcing on them a way of life. Disapproving with this agreement, the 14th Dalai Lama escaped the harsh rule of China and escaped Tibet and went into exile. During a peaceful rally in China by Tibet monks honoring the 49th year of this rebellion, relations got worse when China imprisoned and harmed many monks.
