People are spending more time on their cell phones than their land line phones. With the convenience and availability of cell phones more and more people are using them as their main choice of communication. And discarding their land line phones altogether.
Tips in choosing a cell phone plan
- Find features that most suit your needs- If you like texting then you should look for a phone plan that has a good texting feature that includes photo and other media. You want your phone plan to work for you. Make a list of features you are looking for, and shop around for what you want.
- Find a service that aims at getting the most out of your plan- You will want a service plan that has good reception in your home calling area. And the ability to receive and make long distance calls. You don't want to be talking and have your important calls drop. Be sure to ask about roaming, how far you can travel outside your home calling area before your in roaming. You don't want to be surprised with huge roaming charges.
- Find a phone that works for you. Look for simplicity- You will want something that is simple to use. Will it fit in your pocket or your purse? Does it have a bunch of gadgets on it that you have to figure out? Simplicity is the best option. You should be able to use your phone easily and conveniently. Ask a lot of questions when choosing what you want and need in a phone. Test the phone out before buying it. If it is to hard to use, you will want to find something else.
- Find a cell phone package that works with you, not against you- Here you will want to go with what works best for you. Do you talk mostly at night? You will want a package with night time minutes, if you text a great deal, then a package with texting is something you should look for. Seek out the packages that suit your needs. Not the plans they have to offer. Make a list of the features you would like in your package. You have to live with the contract, so pick what is best for you.
Things You Should Know
- Basic Monthly Fee- This is the fixed rate you will pay every month.
- Air-time Charges- You pay spent talking on the cell phone.
